Brock Galer Turns in Season-Best Effort

On Friday, Lincoln got the W thanks in part to Brock Galer playing the best football he has all season. Galer rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up 1.5 sacks and made four total tackles.

Galer and Lincoln will square off against Colfax at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Galer will face off against Noah Smith, the Falcons' star quarterback. So who wins this QB-duel? There's only one way to know for sure.

Syders Came Up Big in Marysville's 22-6 Victory

Dennis Syders's big game helped extend Marysville's winning streak to three on Friday. Wheatland had no answer to Syders as he rushed for 105 yards and three touchdowns. Marysville is 3-1 when Syders posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise.

Marysville pushed their record up to 4-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Syders and Marysville will head out to challenge Oakmont at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Oakmont Wins Third-Straight Thanks to Beau Ogles

Beau Ogles's big game helped extend Oakmont's winning streak to three on Friday. Ogles was dynamite, rushing for 63 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 49 yards and a touchdown.

For the year, Ogles has thrown 11 touchdowns (and and only 1 picks) while averaging 125.2 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to seven.

Aidan Diaz Makes It Two for Marysville

The second Marysville player making an appearance here is Aidan Diaz, and for good reason. He picked up a sack, forced a fumble, and made five total tackles (3.0 for loss). He is becoming a predictor of Marysville's success: when he posts at least three total tackles the team is 2-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't).

On the year, Diaz has averaged 3.4 total tackles per game and for the season has those 1 sack.
