Volleyball Recap: Eastlake Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Sean Fleming and Samuel Almendarez

Eastlake was the 2-0 winner over Scripps Ranch when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eastlake Titans fell 2-0 to the Scripps Ranch Falcons on Saturday. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16.

Samuel Almendarez and Sean Fleming certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Almendarez had ten digs, while Fleming had 11 kills, six digs, and two blocks. Fleming is on a roll when it comes to kills, as he's now had six or more in each of the last 21 games he's played dating back to last season.

Eastlake's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Scripps Ranch, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Eastlake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Bonita Vista on the 8th. As for Scripps Ranch, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Granite Hills on the 8th.
