Baseball Game Preview: Wareham Vikings vs. Westport Wildcats

The Wareham Vikings will face off against the Westport Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Wareham is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.

Westport's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Friday: Wareham hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Vikings' pitchers stepped up to hand Atlantis a 6-0 shutout on Wednesday. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Westport, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They skirted past Winchester 7-6.

Wareham's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Westport, their victory bumped their record up to 9-13.

Wareham came out on top in a nail-biter against Westport when the teams last played last Monday, sneaking past 2-0. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
