Basketball Recap: Sylacauga Comes Up Short

Sylacauga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 50-33 bruising from the Shelby County Wildcats. The Aggies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Sylacauga's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Shelby County, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 11-4.

Sylacauga is taking a road trip to take on Central of Clay County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Shelby County has already played their next contest (against Ellwood Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
