Meanwhile, Hazel Green came tearing into Saturday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Jaguars a 26-0 shutout. Give the Trojans' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Hazel Green's win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-7. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Madison Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-5.
