The O'Neal School lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Fayetteville Christian, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's game. The O'Neal School blew past Fayetteville Christian 18-1 on Friday. The Falcons' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Joey Wade made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. He also put up three RBI, which were his first of the season.

In other batting news, Parker Fusonie and Andrew Pavlovich did most of the damage at the plate: Fusonie scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Pavlovich went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Pavlovich has posted since back in April of 2024. Max Pashley was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

The O'Neal School always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The O'Neal School's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Fayetteville Christian, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The O'Neal School will host Sandhills Classical Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fayetteville Christian, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Arendell Parrott Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Arendell Parrott Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Fayetteville Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
