Football Recap: Crawford Comes Up Short

Crawford came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They took a blow against the Axtell Longhorns, falling 34-7. The loss was the Pirates' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Crawford fell to 3-1. As for Axtell, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crawford will head out to face off against Holland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Axtell, they will venture away from home to challenge Dawson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Longhorns are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
