Basketball Recap: Carlson Comes Up Short

Carlson easily dispatched Roosevelt last Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Carlson Marauders fell just short of the Woodhaven Warriors by a score of 50-47 on Thursday. The Marauders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.

Despite the loss, Carlson still got an impressive performance from Matt MacBride, who went 7 for 13 on his way to 16 points. Brody Lavis was another key player, putting up eight points along with eight boards and three steals.

Carlson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Woodhaven, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Carlson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 69-64 loss against Churchill on the 6th. Woodhaven has also already played their next game, a 63-46 victory against Taylor on the 10th.
