Basketball Recap: Parke Heritage's Loss Ends 11-Game Winning Streak on the Road

If Parke Heritage was riding high fresh off their 54-28 takedown of West Vigo last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Parke Heritage Wolves received a blow on Thursday as they fell 46-27 to the Northview Knights. The match marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Addilee Dawn Jenkins, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Northview's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reagin White, who shot 4-for-6 from downtown and almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Those nine boards gave White a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carlee Schrader, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards.

Parke Heritage's defeat ended an 11-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 13-1. As for Northview, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-6.

Parke Heritage will venture away from home to challenge North Knox at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Parke Heritage is facing North Knox at the right time seeing as North Knox is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Northview, they will welcome Greencastle at 6:00 p.m. on January 10th.
