Volleyball Recap: Layton Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Layton Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Ogden Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on April 8th.

Layton Christian Academy took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-15, 25-20.

Layton Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Ogden, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Layton Christian Academy will square off against rival Morgan at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Ogden is set to face off against their familiar foe Ben Lomond at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
