Soccer Game Preview: Riverside Academy vs. Covenant Christian Academy

Riverside Academy and Covenant Christian Academy are an even 4-4-2 against one another since January of 2016, but likely not for long. The Riverside Academy Rebels will be playing at home against the Covenant Christian Academy Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Riverside Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let St. Martin's Episcopal onto the board and left with a 5-0 victory two weeks ago. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Rebels with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Covenant Christian Academy had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by a 4-0 margin over Vermilion Catholic last Saturday. Considering the Lions have won six games by more than three goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Riverside Academy's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-4. As for Covenant Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 6-6-1.
