Hillside is 8-2 against Northern Durham since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Hillside Hornets will venture away from home to square off against the Northern Durham Knights at 8:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hillside has three straight victories, Northern Durham has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Friday, Hillside earned a 42-34 win over Riverside-Durham. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 161st, while the Pirates are ranked 360th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hillside can attribute much of their success to Brendon Watley, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Justin Morgan, who had eight points.

Meanwhile, Northern Durham was beaten by Jordan 85-45 on Monday.

Hillside now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Northern Durham, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.

Hillside strolled past Northern Durham in their previous meeting on Wednesday by a score of 60-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hillside since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
