Football Game Preview: Burncoat Patriots vs. St. Paul Knights

The Burncoat Patriots will challenge the St. Paul Knights at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Burncoat will be strutting in after a victory while St. Paul will be coming in after a loss.

Burncoat is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 44-6 win over Montachusett RVT.

Burncoat got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Joel Chuku out in front who picked up 99 receiving yards and two TDs. Those 99 receiving yards gave Chuku a new career-high. Another rusher making a difference was Luis Rodriguez, who rushed for 80 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries.

Burncoat was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 225 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for St. Paul's offense. They were dealt a 37-0 defeat at the hands of Blackstone-Millville on Saturday. The Knights just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

St. Paul's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Burncoat, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-4.

Everything came up roses for Burncoat against St. Paul when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 45-0 victory. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
