Volleyball Game Preview: Redlands Terriers vs. Beaumont Cougars

The Redlands Terriers will square off against the Beaumont Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Redlands is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Yucaipa just ended the team's 12-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the Thunderbirds.

Meanwhile, Beaumont entered their tilt with Redlands East Valley on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Wildcats 3-0.

Beaumont not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Redlands East Valley between 15 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15, 25-18.

Redlands' defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 16-5. As for Beaumont, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-4.

Redlands was able to grind out a solid win over Beaumont when the teams last played back in March, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Terriers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
