Softball Game Preview: Borah Lions vs. Homedale Trojans

The Borah Lions will take on the Homedale Trojans at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses apiece.

Borah came up short against Weiser on Friday, falling 16-4. The matchup marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Kayla Campbell was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Maggie McMullen also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Homedale scored the most runs they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 23-10 to Lakeland. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by exactly 13 runs.

Hadlee Brown made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Even though they lost, Homedale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .640. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Homedale's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Borah, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
