Volleyball Recap: Gloucester Takes Down Lake Taylor in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Gloucester rose to the challenge on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Lake Taylor Titans with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Dukes as they're now sitting on four straight.

Gloucester had a senior duo take command as Grayson Shield had four digs, three aces, and one block and Hayden Simmons had 20 kills, ten digs, and two blocks. Shield also set a new season-high mark in assists with 45. Ryan Williams was another key player, getting eight kills and four digs.

The victory got Gloucester back to even at 9-9. As for Lake Taylor, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Gloucester has already played their next match (against Denbigh), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lake Taylor does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
