Cypress Woods's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. They didn't even let the Cypress Springs Panthers on the board, marking the Wildcats' second-straight 10-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 last Tuesday.

Cypress Woods pushed their record up to 15-4-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Cypress Springs, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cypress Woods will face off against rival Cypress Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
