Evansville Bosse falls short of Mt. Vernon in the playoffs

Recap: Evansville Bosse Bulldogs vs. Mt. Vernon Wildcats

The Evansville Bosse Bulldogs and the Mt. Vernon Wildcats squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly the Evansville Bosse Bulldogs had to settle for second. They fell 42-29 to the Wildcats. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Evansville Bosse in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost eight in a row.

Arlissa Sharber had an outrageously good game for Mt. Vernon as she dropped a double-double on 23 points and 18 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Sharber has scored at least a third of Mt. Vernon's points. Another player making a difference was Hannah McNeece, who scored nine points along with four steals.

Evansville Bosse's defeat dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Mt. Vernon, their victory bumped their record up to 3-20.

Evansville Bosse does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mt. Vernon will take on the Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Boonville has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 14.
