Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Bellbrook's Winning Streak

After a string of six wins, Bellbrook's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Ross Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Bellbrook ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20, 25-22.

Kenley Von Handorf paced Bellbrook's offense, picking up 19 kills. Von Handorf got some help from Katie Hunt and her 24 assists. Hunt also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lucia Mescher, each putting up three.

Ross found their leader in sophomore Sophie Ober, who had 17 digs and two assists. Those 17 digs set a new season-high mark for Ober.

Bellbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Ross, they pushed their record up to 20-2 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Bellbrook wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Chaminade Julienne Catholic on the 9th. As for Ross, they will face off against Woodward at 8:00 p.m. on the 15th.
