Volleyball Recap: Rancho Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Rancho lost to Clark back in April of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Rancho Rams walked away with a 3-1 win over the Clark Chargers. The victory was familiar territory for the Rams, who have now won four matches in a row.

While Rancho might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Clark scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 22-25, 25-19, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Clark still got an impressive performance from Theodore Birdsong, who had 31 assists and four aces. The dominant performance gave Birdsong a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jermaine Simmons, who had ten kills and two aces.

Rancho's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Clark, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rancho will welcome Chaparral at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clark, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Liberty will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Clark surely won't give up without a fight.
