Goshen takes loss despite strong efforts from Kyra Hill and Kaelyn Marcum

Recap: Goshen RedHawks vs. Warsaw Tigers

The Goshen RedHawks suffered their biggest defeat since December 15, 2023 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 59-27 loss at the hands of Warsaw. Goshen has struggled against Warsaw recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Kaelyn Marcum and Kyra Hill certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Marcum scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while Hill scored eight points along with two steals. That's the first time this season that Marcum scored 15 or more points.

Warsaw's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooke Zartman, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 0 assists. Zartman is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Neely, who scored 13 points along with five steals.

Goshen now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Warsaw, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-7.

Goshen will head out on the road to challenge Mishawaka at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Warsaw, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Angola at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Angola is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road.
