Basketball Recap: Arlington Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Arlington challenged Bartlett on Saturday. The Arlington Tigers were beaten by the Bartlett Panthers 69-35. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Despite the loss, Arlington saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Zaria Moss posted 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Moss' big performance that afternoon made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 19 points.

Arlington's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Bartlett, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-11 record this season.

Arlington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 70-59 loss against Houston on the 24th. As for Bartlett, they have also already played their next game, a 49-48 victory against Collierville on the 24th.
