Baseball Recap: Pacelli Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Pacelli challenged Stratford on Wednesday. The Cardinals took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. If the Cardinals were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in May of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Tysen Holmes and Bryce Flaker did some serious damage despite the final result: Holmes got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run, while Flaker went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases. Flaker has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Haemmerle, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Pacelli's defeat dropped their record down to 17-11-1. As for Stratford, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-1.

As of now, neither Pacelli nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
