Softball Recap: Brooke Comes Up Short

Brooke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-7 to the Harrison Central Huskies. The Bruins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Emilee McKinney was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles, four RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jazymn Wood, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

McKinney wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Brooke kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Brooke's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Harrison Central, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Brooke will take on Madonna at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harrison Central, they will face off against Brooke at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
