Basketball Recap: Central Valley Academy Picks Up 11th Straight Win at Home

Central Valley Academy put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 68-55 victory over the Lowville Red Raiders.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central Valley Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Calvin Jacquays, who went 8 of 13 on his way to 22 points. Jacquays' afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luis Reitz, who posted 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Central Valley Academy's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Lowville, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

When Central Valley Academy and Lowville next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Central Valley Academy will try to stop Fulton's four-game winning streak when the meet at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Central Valley Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.2 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Lowville will challenge Potsdam and their six-game winning streak at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
