Lumberton has gone a perfect 10-0 against Bridge City recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Lumberton Raiders will head out on the road to square off against the Bridge City Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lumberton has nine straight wins, Bridge City has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Lumberton's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over Little Cypress-Mauriceville. Considering the Raiders have won eight games by more than four goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Bridge City lost 6-1 to Hardin-Jefferson on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 592nd, while the Hawks are ranked 279th).

Bridge City's goal came courtesy of Abbie Mcdonald, who's now up to 15 this season.

Lumberton's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four matches. As for Bridge City, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Lumberton took their win against Bridge City when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 8-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lumberton since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
