Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bell Gardens). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Fullerton Indians 35-0 at home. With that victory, the Lancers brought their scoring average up to 26 points per game.
Jesse Medina was his usual excellent self, rushing for 161 yards and a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 140 rushing yards dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Allen, who picked up 67 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
The win made it two in a row for Bell Gardens and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Fullerton, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Bell Gardens wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 46-0 victory against Alhambra on the 4th. As for Fullerton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 41-7 loss against Beckman on the 4th.
