Football Game Preview: Westside Wolves vs. Wisdom Generals + Official Tickets

The Westside Wolves are taking a road trip to challenge the Wisdom Generals at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Westside took a loss when they played away from home on October 3rd, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Saturday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 52-8 win over Houston Math Science & Tech. The Wolves' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Westside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dillyn White led the charge by rushing for 124 yards and three touchdowns. That's the most rushing touchdowns White has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Meador, who rushed for 30 yards and a pair of scores.

Meanwhile, while Wisdom put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Houston Math Science & Tech. The Generals blew past the Tigers 50-0. That looming 50-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Generals yet this season.

Westside better keep an eye on J'Dynn Lancaster. He was instrumental in Wisdom's win, rushing for 143 yards. Lancaster has become a key player for the Generals: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 0-4 otherwise.

Wisdom's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5. As for Westside, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Westside took their victory against Wisdom in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 35-14 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
