             Plainfield South won the last time they faced Morris, and things went their way  on Monday too. The Plainfield South Cougars had just enough and edged the Morris Redskins out  2-1.
 Plainfield South had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-21,  25-17.
 Plainfield South was led to victory by  Gabriela Bachner-Gluszek and  Julie Schmidt.  Bachner-Gluszek  had 11  digs and two  aces, while  Schmidt  had seven  digs and two  aces. That's the most  aces  Schmidt has posted since back in August.
  Cami Pfeifer and  Karson Dransfeldt certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss.  Pfeifer  had 14  digs, while  Dransfeldt  had seven  digs.
 Plainfield South's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Morris, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8-1.
 A feisty cat fight will be fought when  Cougars takes on Tigers at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Plainfield North is coming into the  contest with five straight  losses on the road,  meaning Plainfield South will have to defend against a  team hungry for a  win. As for Morris, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  2-0  victory vs. Rochelle on the 1st.
