Soccer Game Preview: Redding Christian vs. Hamilton

The Redding Christian Lions will challenge the Hamilton Braves at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Hamilton took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Redding Christian, who comes in off a win.

Redding Christian headed into their last matchup having not scored more than one goal for five straight, but Shasta Charter Academy let them put that streak behind them. Everything went Redding Christian's way against Shasta Charter Academy on Tuesday as Redding Christian made off with a 9-2 victory. It was an even better day for David Lababera as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Hamilton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Live Oak. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 808th, while the Lions are ranked 399th).

Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Redding Christian, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.
