Football Recap: Sylacauga Comes Up Short

Sylacauga lost against Glenwood back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Aggies fell 38-31 to the Gators. The Aggies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Sylacauga lost, don't look at Cj Franklin. Despite the final result, he threw for 208 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 83 yards and one touchdown. Zakorien Chambliss helped out on the ground, rushing for 97 yards.

Sylacauga's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Glenwood, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Sylacauga does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Glenwood, they will challenge Thomasville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Gators will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games.
