Softball Game Preview: West Craven Eagles vs. Farmville Central Jaguars

For the second straight game, West Craven will face off against Farmville Central. The Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Craven comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

West Craven fell victim to Farmville Central and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars.

For Farmville Central's part, Callie Mitchell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. Mitchell was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Mitchell wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Corri Houston, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Claire Neely was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Farmville Central's record now sits at 8-3. As for West Craven, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
