Giles won the last time they faced Fort Chiswell and things went their way on Thursday too. The Spartans' defense stepped up to hand the Pioneers a 4-0 shutout. It was an even better day for Kerrigan Mitcham as she scored three goals for her team.

Giles is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 37 goals over those ten contests. As for Fort Chiswell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10-3.
