Volleyball Recap: Big Rapids Comes Up Short

Big Rapids was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newaygo Lions. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Lions this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-0 defeat on Saturday.

Big Rapids' loss dropped their record down to 8-23-1. As for Newaygo, they pushed their record up to 27-13 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Big Rapids wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Mason County Central on the 28th. As for Newaygo, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Holton on the 29th.
