Basketball Recap: Latt Ford's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mount Si over Redmond

Mount Si was the 100-66 winner over Redmond when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mount Si Wildcats fell just short of the Redmond Mustangs by a score of 56-53 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wildcats have suffered against the Mustangs since January 12, 2016.

Mount Si lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Latt Ford, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 19 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Jake Bonnofsky, who went 6 for 11 en route to 13 points.

Mount Si's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-3. As for Redmond, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.

Mount Si didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-44 defeat against Bellevue on the 17th. As for Redmond, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 74-52 victory against Eastlake on the 17th.
