The Tocoi Creek Toros will take on the Bartram Trail Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games Tocoi Creek has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
While Tocoi Creek's victory against Palatka wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Toros' pitcher stepped up to hand the Panthers a 1-0 shutout on Thursday. The Toros haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Not much got past Tommy Glasspoole, who gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks to keep Palatka off the board. Tocoi Creek is 4-2 when Glasspoole allows two or fewer hits, but 9-10 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Tocoi Creek saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Micah Hernandez, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bartram Trail, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over Providence School on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.
The team relied heavily on Max Wilkerson, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Ryder Uzzel also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Tocoi Creek now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Bartram Trail, their victory bumped their record up to 16-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Tocoi Creek has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bartram Trail struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Tocoi Creek came out on top in a nail-biter against Bartram Trail in their previous meeting on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Toros since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
