Softball Recap: Manchester Takes a Loss

After flying high against Northwest Catholic last Monday, Manchester came back down to earth. The Red Hawks came up short against the Edwin O. Smith Panthers on Wednesday, falling 12-3. The Red Hawks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

McKenna Hills-Nevin '26 was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

Manchester's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Edwin O. Smith, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Manchester didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-3 defeat against E.O. Smith/Tolland on the 7th. As for Edwin O. Smith, they will square off against Enfield at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
