Basketball Recap: Kole Jones' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Maxwell over Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood]

Maxwell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 59-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood]. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Maxwell lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kole Jones, who posted 18 points. The dominant performance gave Jones a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse Reyes, who had 12 points in addition to seven boards and four steals.

Maxwell's record is now 0-3. As for Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood], they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Maxwell will challenge St. Patrick's at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood], they will face off against Southern Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood]'s favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
