Basketball Recap: Wilson's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Wilson had won four straight games and Josh Leonard did his part to make it five on Thursday. The Wilson Tigers blew past the Darlington Falcons, posting a 69-40 win thanks in part to Leonard, who went 10-for-13 on his way to 23 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 21 points.

Another player making a difference was Tristan Thompson, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards. He has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last three times he's played.

Wilson's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points over those games. As for Darlington, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.

As of now, neither Wilson nor Darlington have any future games scheduled.
