On Tuesday, Independence Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Christ Presbyterian Academy, taking the game 3-1. Independence Academy better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Tristan Ramirez Moreno, as he scored every single goal for his team.

Meanwhile, LEAD Academy came up short against Franklin Road Academy on Thursday, falling 7-2. LEAD Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Independence Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for LEAD Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3-1.

Everything went Independence Academy's way against LEAD Academy in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Independence Academy made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
