Soccer Game Preview: Swansboro vs. Southwest Onslow

The Swansboro Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the Southwest Onslow Stallions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Swansboro fought the good fight in their overtime match against Dixon last Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 1-0. Swansboro's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Southwest Onslow entered their tilt with South Lenoir last Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over the Blue Devils. Considering Southwest Onslow have won eight games by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit South Lenoir with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Oriyanna Galloway (3), Haley Abreu, and Payton Berg.

Swansboro's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3-4. As for Southwest Onslow, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2-2.
