Basketball Recap: Eden Christian Academy Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Eden Christian Academy hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with a 62-50 victory over the Ellwood City Wolverine on Saturday.

Despite the loss, Ellwood City still got an impressive performance from Aaron Lake, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Lake is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Chris Smiley, who went 5 for 12 en route to 10 points.

Eden Christian Academy's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13. As for Ellwood City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-8.

Eden Christian Academy will head out on the road to square off against Winchester Thurston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ellwood City has already played their next contest (against Beaver Falls), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
