Baseball Recap: Tyler Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Tyler's offense. They came up short against the Lufkin Panthers on Saturday, falling 10-0. The Lions' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it 11 in a row.

Tyler's loss dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Lufkin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tyler will venture away from home to square off against Whitehouse at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lufkin, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on the 25th.
