Volleyball Recap: Drury Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Drury had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Pittsfield Generals on Monday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-10, 25-15.

Leading Pittsfield to victory were Kayla Crupi and Gionnah LeVardi. Crupi had four digs and three aces, while LeVardi had 15 digs and two assists. Those three aces gave Crupi a new career-high. Ava Rachiele also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

The win (which was Pittsfield's third in a row) raised their record to 3-4.

Drury does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pittsfield, they will face off against Lenox Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
