Basketball Game Preview: Southbridge Pioneers vs. Prouty Panthers

Southbridge is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Uxbridge on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Southbridge had to suffer through a 67-37 loss at the hands of Uxbridge. The Pioneers were down 55-27 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Prouty). They rang in the new year with a 72-64 victory over Oxford on Sunday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Prouty pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points per game. As for Southbridge, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
