Basketball Game Preview: Princeton Bulldogs vs. Hobbton Wildcats

Princeton has gone 8-2 against Hobbton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Princeton Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Hobbton Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Princeton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.1 points per game this season.

Princeton is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were the clear victor by a 90-69 margin over North Duplin on Thursday.

Teo McPhatter was nothing short of spectacular: he went 7 for 9 from beyond the arc on his way to 33 points in addition to five boards and four steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 18 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Lane, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 19 points.

Princeton was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Hobbton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 56-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pender.

Hobbton's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Princeton, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Princeton came up short against Hobbton when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 55-44. Can Princeton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
