Volleyball Recap: Basha Bears vs. Hamilton Huskies
Basha was the 3-2 winner over Hamilton when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bears fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Basha couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Hamilton a tough time in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 28-30, 25-11, 25-18, 25-27, 15-7.
Dalton Tourville-Perparos paced Basha's offense, picking up 18 kills. Tourville-Perparos got some help from Brian Krummick and his 31 assists. Krummick was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.
Hamilton was led to victory by Ben Tynan and Asher Ganem. Tynan had 23 digs and four assists, while Ganem had 20 kills, seven digs, and four aces. What's more, Ganem posted two assists, the most he's had since back in March.
Basha's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Hamilton, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-10.
Basha wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Sunnyside on the 4th. As for Hamilton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Queen Creek on the 4th.
