            Softball Recap: Christian Academy-Louisville Centurions vs. DuPont Manual Crimsons        
        
		
        
        
            Christian Academy-Louisville extended their losing streak  to seven  on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 1-7 in the process. They came up short against  the DuPont Manual Crimsons, falling  10-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Centurions of the  15-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in March of 2024.
As for DuPont Manual, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5. Considering they have won ten matches by more than five  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 For DuPont Manual's part,  Bella Newell was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with three  runs, three  doubles,  and four  RBI. That's the most  hits  Newell has posted since back in March of 2024.  Payton Russell was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with four  runs, two  stolen bases,  and one  triple.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Academy-Louisville will square off against Spencer County at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for DuPont Manual, they will venture away from home to  challenge Jeffersonville  at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Red Devils have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11  runs per game on average), something the Crimsons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
