Basketball Game Preview: Chaminade-Madonna Lions vs. Somerset Academy Panthers

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Chaminade-Madonna Lions challenge the Somerset Academy Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday... Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Chaminade-Madonna will head into Thursday's match out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They were dealt a 67-32 loss at the hands of Coral Springs Charter. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 414th, while the Panthers are ranked 171st).

Meanwhile, Somerset Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 91-13 loss at the hands of Western.

Chaminade-Madonna has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Somerset Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Chaminade-Madonna strolled past Somerset Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2022 by a score of 48-29. Does Chaminade-Madonna have another victory up their sleeve, or will Somerset Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
