Volleyball Recap: Fremont Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Fremont, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Bonneville Lakers on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Silverwolves haven't had any issues with the Lakers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Fremont not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Bonneville between 14 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-14, 25-16.

Olivia Surrage paced Fremont's offense, picking up 14 kills. Surrage got some help from Ellie McArthur and her 16 assists. Surrage was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Fremont's record now sits at 23-2. As for Bonneville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Fremont will face off against rival West Field at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bonneville is set to square off against their familiar foe Northridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
